I have an existing coaxial cable wiring system in my house and I would like to connect my Verizon otn system so I can access internet throughout my house.
I connected to the otn with a coaxial cable to a splitter on my coaxial wiring but it did not work.
I got a flashing yellow light on my Verizon router. How do I set this up properly?
For all subscription speeds higher than 175Mbps, Ethernet connection between the router and the ONT is required. The MoCA port on the ONT only has MoCA 1.1 capped at 175Mbps. To get MoCA Local Area Network (LAN) access elsewhere in the house, you can buy some reasonably priced MoCA extenders to connect to the router's MoCA LAN interface.
Will this adapter work?
goCoax MoCA 2.5 Adapter for Ethernet Over Coax
This would work out of the box with a G3100 router, but you need to adjust some settings if working with a G1100 router.
Verizon ECB5240M works too. It costs around $60 plus shipping and tax. You get three more Ethernet ports on ECB5240M than goCoax 2.5.
