I have FIOS with an Actiontec router MI424-WR rev E. IT works flawlessly. I turned on WPA2, again no problems. Recently I tried to hook up an old computer and had problems connecting. I wanted to turn WPA2 off to test. I could not find a way to turn it off. Obviously you go wireless settings>advanced security>WPA2 and select a key... Press accept and it turns on. I see no way to turn it off.
I have downloaded the manual for the router but it is no help.
I did solve the computer issue, needed updated drivers, but I still would like to know how to turn it off
thanks

Maybe I'm missing something ...
Wireless -> Advanced Settings.
Under level 1, choose WEP or WPA instead of WPA2.
If you want to turn security off altogether, and that is HIGHLY unadvisable even temporarily ...
Choose WEP under level 1.
Then return to the basic settings screen and turn security off.

You should be able to select WEP or no security... Do you not have those options?

That did it. thank you.
I would think they would have a button to turn WPA2 off and on without having to start up WEP and then turn it off.
