I have a NID attached to my house. Should I be able to get DSL?

I noticed the other day that I havve a Verizon NID, but I was told by sales that internet is not available at my house. Am I not able to get DSL through the NID?

NID are the conventional boundary for POTS Telephone service. Whether DSL could be available is not related.

Ont's can be considered NID for Fiber connections.

Hi. You need to contact your telephone service provider and ask them if DSL is available where you are located.
The NID would be used to hook up the DSL -but it was put there for the telephone connection originally and is used for both now. All homes are now required to have a nid when telephone is hooked up----
