I use to get up to 1125/445 when I got a FAST data path and line mode ASDL 2+ but for the last month I only get interleaved and ASDL_G.dmt. Now I get a letter stating "verizon need to transiton my service to Fiber optics for no extra charge (for the setup and phone) But when I called they told me my bill would go to over $60 per month if I want move to the 3.0 M download FIOS for internet. I now pay >$35 per month. I have tried resetting the modem, swapping it out with a 6100F but no changes in speed.
Also will I need to get new phones (I have to rotary dial and 1 10 year old push button )
Thanks for any advise, I can not afford over $60 per month

Looks like Verizon knocked your Sync rate down for some stupid reason. Yell at them and make them set the service back to 1Mbps (it is not a different package, and the speed can be set back up on the spot along with the data path). Also, FastPath should be granted. They have no reason to turn the speed down on such a line, especially if you haven't asked for repairs.
Is FiOS actually available to you? Verizon is attempting to move DSL subscribers to FiOS, but they really shouldn't be touching anyone's connections unless they are disconnecting or upgrading the speed package. FiOS Phone (Not Digital Voice) does support Pulse Dialing from Rotary Phones as well as older Push-button phones, and the ONT kicks out more than enough power to run older devices. Digital Voice the last I checked does not support Pulse Dialing from Rotary phones, only Tone Dial.
Just as a heed of warning, eventually Verizon is going to force people off of the DSL network in an attempt to retire it. This is Phase 1. When they do that, demand that they offer you something that matches the DSL: 3Mbps down, 1Mbps up, $25 a month (current 1Mbps pricing) in writing with the same exact Telephone plan you have now. If they won't match your current pricing with something on the FiOS network and they've cut DSL access off, you can try a 3rd party reseller. Other than that, you know what to do.

Thanks very much for the rapid reply MR Smith6612! Yes FIOS is available and a few of my neighbors have it and are happy with it. 2 of my push button phones have tone-pulse switches so I guess I will play it by ear (pun intended) . I was emailed a better offer than I mentioned in the earlier post, I am now trying to figure out the "gottcha" !
I really appreciate all your help in the past
Send me what you got sent as an offer. Should be able to find the Gotchas without too much of an effort. Glad to hear they're trying though!
