To whom it may concern,
We have a Verizon Business FIOS Account.
The following IP information has been assigned to us
Range
14X.XXX.XXX.98
14X.XXX.XXX.99
14X.XXX.XXX.100
14X.XXX.XXX.101
14X.XXX.XXX.102
Subnet Mask
255.255.255.0
Gateway:
14X.XXX.XXX.1
At any given time we have never been able to use all 5 IP addresses that have been assigned to us.
A few weeks back we had issues with 14X.XXX.XXX.98
Last week we were having issues with 14X.XXX.XXX.102
This week the current issue is with 14X.XXX.XXX.99
.
The majority of the time the issue manifests itself in the same way. Which is from that device with one of the assigned IPs at any given time, we can’t ping the Gateway(14X.XXX.XXX.1) that is assigned to range given to us.
We’ve tried multiple devices during those time and the same issue happens independant of device.
Here are a list of devices that we have tried.
- Cisco 2960 Switch
- Cisco 4331 Router
- PFSense Firewall(SuperMicro OEM)
- Dell Laptop
- IMac Desktop.
We have opened multiple tickets with varying degrees of success. But we need this issue resolved, and not temporarily. We cannot continue to have issues with an IP addressed as soon as the state of the device changes.
In speaking with technician’s this is not a level 1 question.
Some important information.
- We don’t use the quantum gateway.
- We use a Cisco290X switch to distribute the 5 IPs directly connected to the ONT.
Thanks
