In-home Agent doesn't install correctly

Tried this several times and no luck. Get an error that something in the installation process did not finish correctly. This is a Windows 8 computer.

The general advise here is to use the online troubleshooter: https://www22.verizon.com/foryourhome/vzrepair/vziha/requestrepair.aspx?CMP=DMC-CVZ_ZZ_ZZ_Z_ZZ_N_X22...

Many others have reported issues with the software and trying to get it to install under Win 8 for example: http://forums.verizon.com/t5/FiOS-Internet/Connectivity-issues-Windows-8-amp-In-Home-Agent/td-p/5618...

If you are having issues (such as connectivity) other than the software install I would recommend starting another thread, The experts here are very hard to stump (not that  I am one)
