Insanely slow internet speed

Currently using the Fios 100mbps and I notice that internet is very slow, some times it would go offline or run as slow as 700kbps which are both bad for work. Few months go Verizon changed our plans without informing us to 1gbs but it was just as slow, when we found out and ask them to change it back they said that plan didn't exist anymore. 

We use 2 computers for work, one downstairs and one upstairs. Some devices like phones and tablets occasionally get disconnected but will reconnect. I read other post that say they have half their speed but ours feels really low. Some times I would spend hours downloading a files that fails to download because poor connection.

Slow Internet speeds could point to suspect cabling. If it hasn't been tried, swap out the cable between the ONT and router to see if it makes a difference. 🤔
