Intermittent internet signal on daily basis

I don't know if other folks have ever run across a problem like this, but hopefully someone has some answers. We have been having issues with the reliability of our DSL since last October 2012. Multiple times a day when surfing the internet we lose connection. No connection to our laptop or any of our iphones.  It can last anywhere from 5 minutes to 1 hour of no internet. The router shows no indication of a lost connection, but even if we connect the laptop directly to the router, still no service. Verizon techs have been out to the house multiple times, have replace the router twice, with no luck fixing the issue. When customer service does a line test, they show the line to be good. But yet we still continue to have the same issue on an daily basis.
