Internet Connection Not Good for Two Weeks

Some people may be giving up on their internet. My internet is completely irratic but, I don't have FIOS, I have DSL. But, the internet connection has not been good for about 2 weeks. I don't know if it's the rain, or what. Today, after the storm yesterday, I can't really stay connected for more than 10 minutes at a time.

I am seriosly considering cable at this point, I just don't know what is available in this area for me. I have been with Verizon for about 10 years now. FIOS doesn't seem to be available in my area so, my only other option seems to be cable. Not sure what to do.
