So I'm currently paying for the Verizon High Speed Interent Enhanced package which grants me 7.1Mbps to 15Mbps but I'm no where close to that right now. As of this moment, when wired my speedtest all tell me that I am downloading at .9 Mbps and same goes with my upload speed. I've restarted the modem and messed around with the settings as well, nothing has worked so I have set everything back to default. This is insanity, Less than 1Mbps is ridiculously slow. Takes me 10 minutes to download a 3mb file
Step one: Visit http://www.giganews.com/line_info.html and post up the Traceroute the page shows, if you wish. Be aware that the final hop (bottom-most line of the trace) might contain a hop with your IP address in it. Remove that line. What I'm looking for is a line that mentions "ERX" in it's name towards the end. If for some reason the trace does not complete (two lines full of Stars), keep the trace route intact.
Step two: Can you provide the Transceiver Statistics from your modem?
#3 If you don't know how to get that info:
a) What is the brand and model of your modem?
b) If you have a RJ-45 WAN port router connected to it: What is the brand and model of the RJ-45 WAN port router?
#4 If you have a RJ-45 WAN port router connected to the modem, even if you know how to get the Transceiver Statistics from the modem: What is the brand and model of the RJ-45 WAN port router?
Here's the giganews page you wanted.

I have an Actiontec GT784WNV
#1 Go to 192.168.1.1
#2 If you need a Username and Password, try the following:
admin/password
admin/password1
admin/admin
admin/admin1
Verizon Username/Password
admin/modem serial number
#3 Note by serial number, I do not mean type in the words serial number. I mean, find and type in the serial number found on the bottom of the Actiontec.
#4 Once you are logged in, in the Actiontec go to Status
#5 Somewhere in Status and it's submenu's, you should see terms like
Line Mode, Data Path:, Transceiver Information Down Stream Path Up Stream Path, DSL Speed (Kbits/Sec), Margin (dB), Line Attenuation (dB), and Transmit Power (dBm).
#6 Once you find that page with that info, copy and post that info.
