Let me know if you're aware of a gigabit modem that's compatible with FIOS. I want to install a separate WiFi router and 16-port switch.
FiOS doesn't utilize modems. Only routers. Most commercially available routers and switches will work with the service.
If you subscribe to FiOS TV, a Verizon router such as the 1100 or 3100 will be needed in order for features such as the guide to work.

Unknown by me how to and how true it is but I heard/read unless the OP has FIOS TV One (or FIOS One TV - if I got so close), it is possible to get FIOS TV working. Meaning exactly that: If FIOS TV One must use their NAT router...
