Lost Connection

I suddenly lost my internet connection today. Tried all the common troubleshooting tricks with no luck. Any suggestions? I have High Speed Internet (DSL) service with a netgear router.

Is the DSL light flashing or solid? Is the Internet light out on the modem? If you're familiar with getting into the router, does the router hold an IP address that is not 192.168.1.* ?

Might be an issue similar to mine, you may need to call and open a ticket.  They had to take my connection doen to "fix" whatever needed to be fixed.
