MI424WR-GEN2 Rev-E - port forwarding

Since the firmware was updated from 20.9 to 20.10.7, the port forwarding has completely changed to something that's completely unusable.  Under a specified IP, I want to create a new application and assign a set of ports to it.  With the latest firmware it can not be done.  I have been looking for the old firmware, but can't find it.  I want the portforward screen to look like in this video by Actiontec

It can still be done, but it takes two steps.

First, go to Advanced; Port Forwarding Rules; Add;

Give the application a name.  Click Add Server Ports for each port or range of ports you want to add.

Second, go to the Port Forward screen, select the machine you want to forward to in the first pull-down.  Select the application name you added in the first step in the second pull-down.  Apply.

As far as I know the Actiontec and Westell now present the same screens.

On a Westell you would

Select firewall settings

port forwarding

add

enter an ip address in local host

under protocols select add

then either

select an application an all details are entered and you select OK

or

Select user defined

on the next screen give the application a name, if you want to

then select new server ports

from the protocol drop down select the protocol you want

on next screen leave source port as any and set destination port to be either a range or single and enter the port number/s in the fields

Repeat new server ports for more protocols and ports

when done press ok

If you want to change the incoming source port to a different destination port the enter it in the forward to port field

press OK

You're done
