I have an ont moca box and a Verizon router. It is configured for ethernet. I want to put on the other side of the house a network moca extender. I thought if I added a coxal chord to the router it would do the trick...and it does in a sense. I can see the network extender on my network, but I lose my internet connection. I thought perhaps it was just disabling the coax under the wan settings but that doesn't do the trick. I haven't tried forcing a static IP. I guess I am confused about how that ethernet port works alongside the coax. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
