I'm not too familiar with networking stuff, so some help would be greatly appreciated.
Verizon fios came to set up the other day (400mb internet and TV), and even though I have my own router, he said he had to use one of the verizon ones in the basement. From what I gather, it's because of the MoCA?
Here is a picture of what's in the basement.

This feeds to the main level where my wifi router is hooked up:

From what I've gathered online, I basically need a MoCA adapater to get rid of the router? I'd like to avoid the fee.
I can't quite figure out which MoCA adapater to get though. Right now it's just that wifi hooked up, with one cable box. that's right there. The cheaper the option the better, without compromising too much quality.
thanks! The thread I read on here pointed to this one: https://www.amazon.com/Actiontec-Bonded-Ethernet-Adapter-ECB6200S02-dp-B013J7OBUU/dp/B013J7OBUU/ref=... but it doesn't seem to have a WAN port and LAN port? does that matter?
Alternatively, can I just purchase a Verizon FIOS Actiontec MI424WR Rev. I Gigabit WiFi Wireless N Router off ebay and swap that out with the one they have? I believe this is my best option?
Since you have ordered TV service, a Verizon router is required for some STB features and broadband troubleshooting. I recommend you to keep your existing wiring and buy a used G1100 from Ebay for less than $40. Make sure the G1100 has Verizon firmware and it is not stolen. The used G1100 will pull firmware updates from Verizon backend and will be supported by Verizon.
