Have read on several posts of issues with DSL download and upload speeds on the Verizon network. My speed here in the 941-493 Florida exchange had dropped from 3.2 MPS to 1.0 MPS. Have contacted Verizon support 4 times and the problem still persists. Again yesterday I contacted Verizon chat and was assued by the agent I would have my 3,0 MPS speed back up within the hour.. HA!! that was a joke. I was sent a new D-Link router/moden last week, but you guessed it!! Same slow speed. A line tech was here a couple weeks ago to look at fixing my noisy phone static. Said the lines in our area are old and that I probably cannot expect any faster DSL speeds. FIOS is a long ways away. I will be contacting COMCAST next week and will terminate my relationship with Verizon. One would think Verizon would lower the DSL cost for those of us experiencing slow downloads.That will certainly be a cold day in .......

Your issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent. Before the agent can begin assisting you, they will need to collect further information from you. Please go to your profile page for the forum and look at the top of the middle column where you will find an area titled "My Support Cases". You can reach your profile page by clicking on your name beside your post, or at the top left of this page underneath the title of the board.
Under "My Support Cases" you will find a link to the private board where you and the agent may exchange information. The title of your post is the link. This should be checked on a frequent basis, as the agent may be waiting for information from you before they can proceed with any actions. To ensure you know when they have responded to you, at the top of your support case there is a drop down menu for support case options. Open that and choose "subscribe". Please keep all correspondence regarding your issue in the private support portal.
