Apparently, our local FiOS office didn't get the memo... I was thrilled when I received an email from Verizon stating that my upload speed is being increased to match my download speed. Unfortunately, after two days of testing, my upload speed has only been averaging HALF my download speed (i.e. only getting 15/7.5 rather than the promised 15/15). Anyone else in the Tampa Bay area experiencing this?
Hi Dan999_,
Can you please recheck your speeds and post back to let us know what you are currently getting?
Just ran tests using speedtest.net -- 8/7/14 9:30 PM
Server 1: Tampa FL - Hivelocity Hosting -- DL 16.91 Mbps / UL 7.91 Mbps
Server 2: Tampa FL - Rapid Systems -- DL 12.51 Mbps / UL 7.07 Mbps
Your ONT might not be provisioned right. A few people on DSLReports have noted seeing some issues with provisioning after the symmtrical speed upgrade was applied. Verizon should be able to get this fixed right up for you.
