Need to discontinue my DSL internet service

I need to cancel my internet service. I been trying to call the 1800Verizon number only to get hunged up on their automated message "there are no representatives to assist me at the moment, please call again later". I been trying to call all day long since this morning. Please help me. Thank you and sorry if this is the wrong place to post. Im pretty worned out from not being able to get a live person on the phone.

You will need to speak with Verizon directly to do that.  Please visit our Support page for a variety of ways to contact Verizon, including “Ask Verizon,” our virtual chat agent, and customer support phone numbers, which may get you a response faster.

I been trying to call but I cant get through to an actual live person. Also I cant cancel online, so theres no help there. What else can I do, I tried every option possible except getting an actual person on the phone to assist me...

Your issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent. Before the agent can begin assisting you, they will need to collect further information from you.

Please go to your profile page here on the forum, and look in the middle, right at the top where you will find an area titled "My Support Cases". You can reach your profile page by clicking on your name beside your post, or at the top left of this page underneath the title of the board.

Under “My Support Cases” you will find a link to the private board where you and the agent may exchange information. This should be checked on a frequent basis as the agent may be waiting for information from you before they can proceed with any actions.

To ensure you know when they have responded to you, at the top of your support case there is a drop down menu for support case options. Open that and choose "subscribe".

Please keep all correspondence regarding your issue in the private support portal.
