I literally had the new router plugged in for 15 minutes. It would not work so I plugged the old router back in. I’ve been on with support for over an hour because the old router- which was perfectly fine 90 minutes ago now says Ethernet/Coax Status: Cable Disconnected. Does anyone know what might be causing this? Everything was working perfectly until the new router was plugged in.
Were there any programming changes made to the ONT when the routers were swapped? For example, were the routers changed to upgrade Internet speed and Verizon moved the Internet from coax to ethernet or vice versa? 🤔
I feel like you have a bad Ethernet cable. Swap the Ethernet cable and try again.
To Dexman,
No. I am not aware of any failover features.
Hmmm.... I was wondering if the router swap was in conjunction with some other activity. I wasn't sure if that was the case, or, if it was a cold swap on the part of the OP. 🤔
