Someone called me about a month ago about replacing my router with a new one. No one as of yet had come. Can anyone help me. My model is 6100.

If your Westell 6100 is working fine, there should be no need to wait on a new modem/router to arrive. If it does arrive, then great! Keep it around as a spare if Verizon doesn't want the old modem back. Otherwise, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

If you don't need to change it, I would recommend staying with the one that you have. It works!
I contacted Verizon about adding a new phone jack and was told that I could "upgrade" to high speed internet and that they would send me a new router and also save me some money. I thought that would be great.
It was the worst decision that I have made with my service. From the first day I have had problems and have been in contact with tech support via live chat everyday and still have not had my problem resolved.
My recommendation, unless your router doesn't work, stay where you are.
