There was a power outage yesterday to my apartment building because of a manhole fire. After the power gets back I found there is a problem come to my internet connection. Though there is a router connected sign show on my phone there is no internet connection actually. I try to unplug and replug the ac power cable of the Verizon fios box but it doesn’t work. I don’t really understand these internet things so could anybody please tell me do all the signals showing on this box normally? And is there anything I can do to get the internet back by myself or do I have to wait for a Verizon technician to come? Thanks so much!
It looks like the fail light is lit. Only Verizon can fix that. If you haven't contacted Verizon yet, do that right away.
Are others in your building out of service? If so, make sure they contact Verizon, too.
