Not able to receive Verizon FiOS

Where I live everyone around me is able to get Verizon FiOS but when I put my address to check if it's available in my apartment building is says I'm only able to get DSL. I've been waiting for FiOS in my area for years. I have called and emailed Verizon regrading this with no help. I keep getting these types of responses.

“We appreciate your interest in Verizon's FiOS Service. We apologize that FiOS service is not yet available to you. At this time we do not have a date when FiOS will be available.

Verizon continues to work to provide FiOS access to as many customers as possible. So, while you may not qualify for FiOS Internet access from Verizon today, it is possible that you could be able to receive it in the future as the technologies improve. “

Can any help me understand what’s going on? Here is a picture of my area with icons indicating the people that are able to receive Verizon FiOS.

The blue circle is the utility pole and the green line is the fiber line going to my neighbor’s house. Why can ‘t they just run a line to my building?

Hi bigmike25,

Your issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent. Before the agent can begin assisting you, they will need to collect further information from you. Please go to your profile page for the forum and scroll down the page to an area titled "My Support Cases". You can reach your profile page by clicking on your name located above your post, or at the top right of this page.

Under "My Support Cases" you will find a link to the private board where you and the agent may exchange information. The title of your post is the link. This should be checked on a frequent basis, as the agent may be waiting for information from you before they can proceed with any actions. To ensure you know when they have responded to you, you may subscribe to the case. At the top right of your support case there is a gear icon which provides a drop down menu with support case options. Click that and choose "subscribe". Please keep all correspondence regarding your issue in the private support portal.

Can't get Verizon FiOS

I called Verizon regarding their service in my area. I was told there's nothing I can do regarding information on when and why I'm not able to get Verizon FiOS. This has been going on for years. They also said they're going to send an engineer over to check out the area and that they'll get back to me. No one ever did get back to me and that was about a year ago. So, I decided to start recording all communications with Verizon. I'm posting this in the Verizon forms now to see if someone could help me out.

Hi mmiranda189,

We have reopened your Private Support Case. Please access your case through your profile page by following the instructions posted earlier. The support agents do not monitor the public boards and will need to hear from you in the Private Support area before they can begin assisting you.
