I have the advance router. I have it set to b/g/n. I have an N wifi card. I have 5 bars. Signal strength is excellent. But my radio type says 802.11G. My speeds are 9 down 12 mbs up.
When I run inSSIDer it says: Channel 111 PHY b/g Max data 54 signal -22
Please help

If you set the router for compatibility mode (b/g/n) and have any g devices on your network, it will run in g mode. The flip side is that if you set to Performance mode (n) and have g devices they won't be able to connect.

Are you using WEP or WPA security? Wireless N REQUIRES either an "Unsecured" or a "WPA2 AES" encrypted wireless network in order to fucntion. Anything else will result in the radio running in G mode.

There you go. Move to WPA2 and use AES only.
