Not getting gigabit speeds g3100 gateway

I just got the new g3100 white router from Verizon and it was working fine. Getting 900 up and down but in the last day or so, wired speed and Wifi Speed both seem to be capped at 100mb/s. I did the official verizon speedtest and thats where things got weird. It actually started the test showing the ROUTER getting 900 up and down until about the last 10 seconds of the test. Thats when the result changed from 900 immediately to 95mbps. It makes no sense. I had a severe lightning storm come through which is why i got the new router. They also replaced my gigabit switch when they came so everything is new except for the ONT box. Now I'm thinking they should have replaced everything. Thoughts?
