Ordered FiOS but Verizon cancelled before installation date

I ordered Verizon FiOS Gigabit service at my townhouse building I own few weeks ago. The installation date was Monday August 6 but the order was cancelled before the installation date. I contacted Verizon customer service and they said the building is not capable but has not given any information on engineering report.

Multiple neighbors have been receiving FiOS flyers and it's frustrating that only a part of our townhouse complex have FiOS but we do not. In the complex annual meeting, the management company said they are talked with Verizon to wire fiber to our building but still have not heard any updates.
