I have been trying to use both my usual (Filezilla) ftp client as well as two others (ftp Voyager and Smart ftp) to download my files, but I keep getting an error message. My ftp clients can easily access websites I have hosted on other hosting companys' servers such as Register.com and Hostgator, but when I try to access my Verizon webspace files (mysite@verizon.net), the connection times out and fails.
The computer on which I originally had the files for my website has had an unrestorable crash wherein I lost all data, so Verizon's servers are the only place I have the website files. I do not want to lose this site as I have had it for years and it has had a lot of work put into it.
Can someone please instruct me as to how I can download or otherwise obtain my website files before Verizon deletes all our personal webspace next month??

Okay, I have now been through about 2 more hours of useless searching for help. Can someone PLEASE help me with this? If I can't use ftp to download my files, can you please tell me what I CAN use? I NEED THESE FILES AS MY HARD DRIVE WITH THEM NO LONGER WORKS.

Your issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent. Before the agent can begin assisting you, they will need to collect further information from you. Please go to your profile page for the forum and look at the top of the middle column where you will find an area titled "My Support Cases". You can reach your profile page by clicking on your name beside your post, or at the top left of this page underneath the title of the board.
Under "My Support Cases" you will find a link to the private board where you and the agent may exchange information. This should be checked on a frequent basis, as the agent may be waiting for information from you before they can proceed with any actions. To ensure you know when they have responded to you, at the top of your support case there is a drop down menu for support case options. Open that and choose "subscribe". Please keep all correspondence regarding your issue in the private support portal.
