I live just 40 minutes outside Philadelphia in the farmland of New Jersey. I am so frustrated with my phone and internet services and there MUST be a solution.

I have what is considered to be high speed internet but the connection hick-ups all the time. I'm forever turning the modem and or computer on and off again to reconnect. When I call Verizon service they tell me my speed and connection are fine. I have two computers - one slow old one and a brand new 4GB laptop - they both run like they are on dial up!

Higher speed DSL is not available in my area and FIOS? We'll be waiting for decades!

We don't even have TV - a guy came out once and said there were too many trees and left.

I hate the idea of switching to Comcast but it's looking like there is no alternative - and it comes with a whole other set of problems.

I have Verizon cell phone service, as well. I never have a full phone signal at my home - even outside in the middle of the yard. Many times the wireless connection on my phone is slow or none existent.

Should I consider a Hotspot for my cell phone? what exactly would that get me? and would I be any better off?

One thing that really gets me;

If I bundle Phone, TV and Internet - THEN Verizon does offer a higher speed internet service with speeds over 1.0

So to get this straight, you have DSL service through Verizon, and Wireless phone through Verizon Wireless, correct? They are two separate entities as considered by the market, so let's try not to confuse them with each other 🙂

If you do have a Landline around, have you been noticing on that line any sort of noise that should not be there, such as static, buzzing, or a hum? We can help you resolve these hiccups if you're willing to supply some information to us from your modem and are willing to try a thing or two if need be.
