I was wondering how to prioritize my router or my desktop traffic so my internet does not slow down when others are using it .
I have two routers one main router in living room and one down stairs connected to coax and both are functioning but the one downstairs is only Ethernet ,
so I was wondering how could I prioritize my router on the basement or my machine connected to this router by lan , make it a priority out of both routers .
Main router is a Fios g1100 and the other downstairs which is mine connected to coax its a actiontec MI424WR Rev.
What you want requires a QoS feature on the router, which Verizon routers and many other consumer-grade routers don't have. What's your subscription speed? I would recommend you to increase the speed to accommodate higher usage.
I do have Qos in advance settings but I’m not sure how to select my router or my machine to prioritize it
G1100 does not have QoS feature. Where are you seeing that?
