I had FIOS installed a year ago. Everytime I walk down the side of my house I notice the exposed cable that goes into the service box. Basically anyone could cut that cable and disable security cameras and alarms - it should not be that vunerable. How do I get this cable protected from being cut or tampered with?
You would have to run conduit from where it gets to your house and then through wall.
then contact Verizon to have tech come out and run cable through the conduit.
If cable runs underground, someone can just pull it up from where it connects to conduit.
If it is overhead, they can pull it down.
If internet is that critical, I would recommend a cell backup router.
