Does anyone know if upgrading to the new Quantum 50/25 speed requires a new router?  I have the 9100EM.

That router should do the job just fine on the Wired network. Wireless won't achieve the full download rate due to the fact that it uses Wireless G, but that can be worked around by connecting up a Wireless Access Point to the Westell.

If the Westell is insufficient, Verizon should be sending you another router when you upgrade.
