Lately I've been getting frequent visits from Verizon Reps at my home trying to get me to upgrade to FIOS and telling me that DSL service in my area (Philadelphia, PA) is being fazed out. I've asked several of them for the date that sevice will be terminated but all I ever hear is "I wasn't given that information".
So I have to ask, is this a case of overzealous salesmen or is Verizon planning on dropping DSL service for Philadelphia? And if they are what is the cut off date?
They are trying to drop copper service as fast as possible. I have never heard of a date but I have heard of people receiving letters to migrate their DSL service over to Fios.
