Verizon speedtest is BOGUS!

They always show 940mbps downloads 900 mbps upload, to the router, this is BOGUS. When you check the device speediest you always get the real less than 100 mbps and about the same range in upload. Somehow it is rigged in favor the company and against the customers. Cannot wait till google fiber comes here and we can dump this con artist Verizon.

It is always advised to use a wired connection to test the speeds. The speed test does not simply "show" your speed, it measures the speed through UDP transport.

Are you using WiFi to test the speeds? If so, unless your device supports at least 802.11ac MIMO 4 x 4, you won't see speeds close to gigabit on wireless.

Also, when testing using an Ethernet cable, always ensure the link speed between your computer and the router is at 1000Mbps, not 100Mbps, which may due to a bad cable or a legacy NIC.
