Once I sign on to my verizon, I get error messages when I try to access my bill or see my verizon plan. Try to call Verizon, but could not stay on because it was over an hour wait. Did anybody have this problem?

Must be web portal problems day to pay invoices.
i would call 1-800-VERIZON and use the automated bill payment system. I believe there is a small charge to use it.
or you can download the Verizon Fios app from the Apple store or google play store and that has a bill payment option.
