Service interruptions for the past 8 hours

Because I can't seem to find the chat interface I used a few days ago to reach Customer Support, I'm posting on the forums in the hopes it gets seen.  My internet today is so spotty that at times I get disconnected 10 times in 15 minutes.

History: Past 5-6 months I've had issues with getting disconnected or really slow connection.  When I reset my modem its fine.  When I disconnected, copying from one PC to another is not interrupted, only the actual DSL connection so I assume my network is fine (has been relatively fine for 5 years).

Last week I got help from a tech and it was determined that the Westell 6100 modem I had was going bad to it got replaced by an Actiontec.  For almost a week things were fine and then the problem started again 8 hours ago.

The problem:

Same Issue as in the past few months.  I am now getting disconected from the internet but my network is functional.  When I connect to the modem/router, the status page will either say:

ConnectionStatus

Broadband:
CONNECTED
Internet Service Provider (ISP):
CONNECTED

which is good.

or

ConnectionStatus

Broadband:
DISCONNECTED
Internet Service Provider (ISP):
DISCONNECTED

or

ConnectionStatus

Broadband:
CONNECTED
Internet Service Provider (ISP):
CONNECTING... or DISCONNECTED

This is all under the gateway status.

My DSL line is an actual line that was installed over 12 years ago but was fixed again in the past 2 years when I switched to Verizon.

I feel it might just be some kind of setting that is causing me to have this issue.  Maybe on my modem or maybe on Verizon's end but this is getting frustrating.

Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If there's a service outtage in my area, where would I go to check this?

This is getting really bad.  can't stay connected more than a few minutes and sometimes i'd connect and get disconnected.  help?  I really would rather not have character install a cable line to my house.

Looks like your modem is losing sync. Do you have a landline, and do you hear static on the line?

Since you're able to log into the modem, if you're still using the ActionTec, go to Status > DSL Status and copy and paste the information you see there while the connection is online. If it's offline the information won't be useful to us.

I took the system logs and basically at 4pm and more so starting at 7:45pm until now, I am getting disconnects.

Not sure if these are even useful.

Line 0: ADSL link down occurred 4 times in the past half hour.

Okay, so the logs are confirming the drop.

Please go to Status > DSL Status within the router's Admin interface and copy/paste the information on that page into a post. This will give me the last bit of info I need to see how the line is doin g itself.
