Set up 2 routers

I have a verizon g1100 in my house but the router is on the top floor. I am trying to set up a second verizon g1100 router in my basement. Both routers would be connected by a coax. The upstairs router is fully set up but I am not sure how I can set up the second router. The second router does not need to have the same ssid, I just want it to give out wifi to my basement. How can I set up the second router? I also do not have much expertise with this stuff.
