Every few weeks lately it seems that for a few days my DSL is cranky; disconnecting and/or slow speeds.
I have a 7mbit plan (Usually get aound 5mbit), using a Westell 7500.
Here are the transciver statistics taken from the phone jack I normally use for the modem. I went to the basement and found where the lines are for each floor (live in a 3 decker) but nothing that looks like a NID, just ancient wiring and devices.
Transceiver Statistics

Line Attenuation (dB) 46.0 21.4

Transceiver Information Down Stream Path Up Stream Path
DSL Speed (Kbits/Sec) 5885 860
Margin (dB) 10.7 13.1
Line Attenuation (dB) 46.5 21.4
Transmit Power (dBm) 21.1 12.4
Transceiver Information Down Stream Path Up Stream Path
DSL Speed (Kbits/Sec) 3402 860
Margin (dB) -1.-4 12.1
Line Attenuation (dB) 45.5 21.5

The last one is right before disconnecting. Also each one of these are after a modem restart after being disconnected. Though if I refresh the page the downstream margin can vary quite a bit from 2db - 20db, though it seems like if it gets too low I get dropped.
Thanks!
