So I have been paying for 500 Mbps and getting 100 Mbps for the past few weeks. I called up and asked why this has been having this issue. They tell me I need to upgrade their router for another $6 extra a month. For what I am paying yearly they should had notified when their hardware needed to be upgraded. I know they will not credit me for what I have been getting and what I'm paying for so I will be disconnecting my service soon.

I'm curious as to the hardware currently onsite. Can a few pictures of the ONT & router be posted? (Note that submitted pictures are queued for Moderator approval before they appear).
Another angle, is the router (if it is one of the Verizon models) connected to the ONT via coaxial cable or Ethernet cable? Is/Are the device(s) connected to the router via Wi-Fi or Ethernet?

This is like a bad Ethernet cable issue or alike.
All routers, including G1100, is capable of 1024Mbps NAT throughput.
