Slow download speeds in Mount Kisco. Never had this issue before. Paying for 25/25

For the past 20 months we have loved the 25/25 speeds that we have paid for. We always get 31/25 via the Verizon Speed Check web site. For the past week, speeds have dropped to 3-5mpbs. Upload around 15mbps. Rebooting the router has fixed the issue a few times, but not in the last few days. Any ideas on what could be wrong?

I'm in Staten Island.   My wireless speeds are the worst lately.  I have the 35/35 and have never had any issues until the past few weeks.  Tonight I can barely connect.  Wired connections are speedy as always.
