Technical charges

I find it funny that Verizon is charging me for a technician to come out to replace an equipment failure.  I had called and the phone support tech stated that he has to put the $99 charge in as a provisionary, just like how hotels charge you for incidentals.  But the charge won't be apply if it is indeed the equipment and not  dumb user error.

So, technician comes out, decides to replace the battery backup unit, since it isn't working.  Of course, battery BACKUP, is not a backup.. it needs to be there.  He runs a new power line and etc.

I get billed for this.  It is a VERIZON EQUIPMENT failure.  Called billing support and a week has gone by and no call back as the person on the phone said he needs to check with the technician and get back to me by day's end.

What great followup Verizon.
