I can not access my account on a proxy server as I could about six weeks ago (the last time I needed to). I've not changed any equipment (Westell 6100 DSL modem connected to a Macbook Pro laptop) or my operating system (Mac OSX version 10.6.8). I've spoken with tech support for the proxy server and after confirming that my IP address is not being blocked by their system, they tell me that the problem is the result of blocking by the verizon firewall. How can I fix this? I need to access the control panel of the account on the proxy server.
Can you reach and use the proxy server right now? What happens when you attempt to bring up the control panel, anything that takes an excessive amount of time or just downright fails to connect within a few seconds? Is the proxy server's configuration system running on an odd port number?
