As part of my ongoing battle against my speed issues, I decided to pick up a new router. I'm convinced that the Actiontec doesn't have a great wifi signal. I get 4 bars less than ten feet from it. I picked up an TPLink Wireless-N router from Amazon, and I've got it set up and working. My question is, what settings should I change on the Actiontec to get the best perfomance? I've turned off the radio, but I'm sure there are some that I'm missing.
Technically the more devices you pass your traffic thru, the slower it gets. This isnt something you should notice. You will have more issue with performance just because you are on wireless. Have your speeds gone up using the other router?
