Using Verizon Network Extender for Internet Only Plan, using Coax Coonection

I have a Verizon Internet Only plan (100/100 up/down). I have the quantum gateway router connected to an Ethernet port. There is a Verizon ONT Box in my garage. I need to have stronger WiFi on my home's main level and upper level, as the only Ethernet Port in my house is in the basement. I have Coax cable outlet in every room. Will the Verizon WiFi extender work if I buy one for my main level, and connect it to a coax outlet? Or does it have to connect to another ethernet port? Thanks!

It will work on the coax just make sure from the main splitter a coax goes to the G1100 and to the coax feed going upstairs.
