We are currently running an D-link DSL-2750B modem/router in our home. Typically we run close to 6MBps. We are having very bad stability issues with our modem. we have tried changing how it is connected to outlets, how it is connected to computers, everything. Currently I have my pc connected to it through lan, and it is the only device connected to internet right now. I seem to just drop connection and have to restart my modem, this has been an issue with two modems, the same type, that they have sent us. Before we were only getting 1MBPS while paying for 7MBPS, the issue magicaly fixed it self after a call to verizon. So to ilistarte how large this problem is, I have two tracroutes, one to verizons website and one to the online server of a game I play. Notice that on all the traceroutes on hop 5 we have a time out right after the same ip,

Request time out just means the router can not be pinged. Verizon has an automated tool that changes the DSL speeds. They probably just put you back to the speed you were before.
