I live in central PA. I need an explanation as to why my DSL speeds have been downgraded from the 3 - 7 mbps (I was getting a solid 3 mbps at the time) down to 1.3 - 3 mbps (now I only get 1.4 mbps). I'm paying for ACCERLATED DSL and the speeds are that of the low-tier package. Under my account settings there is no option to go higher than 1.3 - 3 mbps Accelerated DSL. There is literally no option for 3 - 7 mbps anymore...
We're in 2015 and these speeds are supposed to be acceptable? I should have never been downgraded. Verizon essentially cut my bandwidth in half and didn't think I would notice. I talked to a rep and they said it's always been that speed which is absolutely not true. My outside IP used to go Lancaster, PA and now it's being directed through Harrisburg, PA.
I've seen several complaints on the county public facebook page about slower speeds. Please find a way to revert the speeds in my town. I was happy with the 3 - 7 mbps plan. I even tried online chatting with a rep about this but they said there was nothing they could do... I know Network Operations has packet shapers that can increase bandwidth to certain area's because I used to do it myself for work. Verizon delivered 3 mbps to my house before they can certainly do it again.
