Verizon FIOS ONT lights too bright

I recently had FIOS installed, including an Alcatel I-211-ML ONT. There was no other place that made senese for my apartment except my bedroom but the lights are so bright, they keep me awake at night!

Is there a way to disable the lights or add some kind of enclosure that wouldn't overheat the unit?

Here is a cheaper suggestion. Place black electrical tape on all lights indicators.

you will not be bothered by them any longer.
