Verizon FIOS new community

Hi,

Ours is a new community in NJ and only has xfinity, what is the process of getting Verizon FIOS in our community. I called the call center multiple times but I was told that Verizon has no service in our community. But I see Verizon FiOS in nearby community and houses.

Does Verizon have Copper services available at all? If it's a newly built community, Verizon should have installed Fiber instead of Copper. If there is an HOA, Developer, or Town Franchise Committee, it's also good to ask them about FiOS since they would have more say in whether the service is to be deployed.
