I get freexe ups and recycled back to home page when I try to comment on news stories.  How do I fix this?  Can I get rid of Yahoo?

You can just not go through the web interface. If you just want to use Yahoo Mail

Yahoo mail 

has an app for iOS and android devices and you can use the regular app on your computer to retrieve your email only. It is only when you go to http://www.yahoo.com that you have new story interaction.

you can also type in mail.yahoo.com in a browser and that brings you just to the mail sign in page. However replying to any news story requires you to be signed in or join to comment.
