This may be related the the G3100 router but when I try to run the Verizon speedtest from their server to my router, the test hangs and disconnects the internet. Both the wired and wireless connection are interrupted and resume in around a minute. Anyone notice this and any resolution?
#1 Do you have that FIOS Router?
#2 Do you have FIOS OR DSL?
#3 If you have DSL, what is the brand and model of your DSL modem?
#4 If you have FIOS Internet, do you also have FIOS TV?
#5 While you lost connection to the Internet, did you also loose the connection to that NAT router?
#6 Do you have another NAT router (even if that other NAT router is not in use, you must say yes. For example yes but not use) ?
#7 Do you have a spare (not in use) computer that works, that either:
a) Has at least two NICs?
OR
b) You could add another NIC?
Note at one of the two NICs must be a wired NIC.
Fios. 1G with TV. Have Linksys routers as wireless access points. A couple of Dell desktops have wired and wireless capabilities. None hooked to wireless for the test.
verizon sent me a new G3100 router. Same result.
i don’t think that I want to pursue further as I can used Speedtest to confirm 900 mbs up and down so it is kind of unnecessary to confirm what is coming to the router
