3 Verizon maintenance trucks rolled up to my street today to move a pole in the street a couple of houses over. That work resulted in me losing my internet. I walked up to the maintenance workers and they admitted it's possible they spliced something in the process of moving the pole, knocking out my internet.
I called Verizon and they said they'd need to send a tech over in the morning to take a look but that they might charge me $99 visit fee + potential additional fees based on the repair.
I hope I'm not charged for this, this is clearly nothing to do with me and everything to do with Verizon's own maintenance work. I'll keep everyone updated as to how this tech's visit goes tomorrow.
