I have a Westell 7500 modem/router. I've been having trouble opening up ports. I've gotten to the point where the ports said "closed" (cause usually they are stealth), but still they will not open.
I've set up a static IP, added the ports to my firewall, forwarded the ports, and nothing.
There are about 5 accessories in this house that gets a connection from the modem/router. I do not know if that could be a problem or not.
I really don't know what else to try - but if I haven't proved enough information, just tell me what you need to know.
Help would be appreciated - Thanks in advance
Ensure the Westell's Firewall is set to either Low or No Security, and ensure UPnP is disabled on the Westell. Those two things can prevent your Port Forwarding entries from working. If you still have issues, post up the Port Forwarding entries you have configured in the Westell.
